PLEASE read the rules below
before you submit anything to us. We have very specific
rules.
The email address to
send your icons and desktops to is: submissions@pixelgirlpresents.com
* Include your
- Name
- Preferred email address
- Website name and URL
(optional)
- Title of your Iconset
or Desktop Image
- Number of icons in the
set, or the sizes of your desktop image(s)
- May we convert your desktop to an iPhone Wallpaper?
Not all
Icons or Desktops will be accepted but please be
patient after submitting (We are just a tiny
company who go through everything personally). We
get a bunch of cool submissions each week so we can't
accept
everything
(even if we want to:-)
.................................................................
* Do not submit any icons
or desktops which infringe on the copyrights of
others!!
Offending sets will be removed at the request of the
copyright holder. You cannot "borrow" photos without
getting permission. That is against the law.
* Pay
attention to detail.
Icons with poor masking and jagged edges rarely get
posted. Desktops with mistakes, or poorly created
outlines
won't get posted. NO jagged flash traced vectors please:-)
* Be creative! There are enough folder icons,
system app icons and shiny blobs to go around! Pixelgirl
Presents is a site where people go to get stuff they
can't get anywhere else--Have fun!
*
Desktop Rules:
- No text
(unless
it's a texture or a small credit to you as the artist)
If you desktop has a large title or saying on it,
chances
are it
won't
get accepted. People commonly ask us why this is and here is our
answer:
1. it cuts down on submissions with meaningless
sayings, song lyrics, poems and quotes
2. statistically, people tend to download the desktops
with text less (what is meaningful to some isn't
to others)
- No pop culture
references
(song
lyrics, poems, etc. This includes Apple and Windows
imagery) if you want to submit anime, it must be
drawn or vectorized by you. (PS. the chances that
we will accept even the most brilliant vector image
of J-Lo is slim:-)
- Don't make your desktop
too busy
(our site caters
to mac users who want usable desktop designs.
If you want to help us
out, try to make the busy parts of the desktop
appear on the left side instead of the right
side.

*Iconsets and Desktop Images should be compressed
and encoded (.sit, .hqx or .zip) before you email
them in.
